The foil lining is for the long term preservation of the coins from moisture. I recently purchased these from an older coin dealer who is no longer in business. As far as I know when these are all sold, there are no more.Please read a note about shipping:I strive to ship at my cost. If you pay more at checkout I can refund the overage you may pay. Rolls and lots: $4.50 for the first roll and $1.50 for each additional roll; up to $8.50. I can ship up to 30 rolls (paper wrapped) for $8.50. Single coins up to 3 coins sold at $20 or less: $1.11 for eBay standard envelope. I ship all of these at 3oz since it is safer that way. Beyond $20 value shipping is $3.50. The best way to handle multiple item purchases is to put them in your cart and then ask for an invoice from seller. That way I can provide these shipping prices without having to issue a refund. I am not in this business to make money on shipping but I must charge costs involved. There is no such thing as free shipping. It is paid for by someone, usually in the cost of the item.
