1/350 Prinz Eugen Wood Deck (TRP #05313) Wood Hunter #W35011 Factory Sealed MISP

Description: I ought to clear some space on my shelves, so I will part with some of my collection. THIS IS MY LAST ONE! I have said that in my opinion, the single most impressive upgrade for any ship kit is a classic wooden deck. This is a laser cut precision wood deck to go with Trumpeter’s excellent 1/350 kit of the German Heavy Cruiser Prinz Eugen (TRP #05313). The Prinz Eugen had wood decks on multiple levels and Wood Hunter gives you each one. This upgrade set has three components: the multi-part (27 individual pieces) self-adhesive teak-tone wood deck, a length of fine anchor chain and photo etched metal parts for hatches and reels. I only found a handful of listings for this set on eBay (all from China), but as a Top Rated Plus US Seller, I have this in stock and can reliably ship this set very quickly. Here is some of what I found out about this wonderfully detailed product: I could find no website for Wood Hunter, but from other sources, I have found the following list of features: · Composed of Wooden Deck, Photo Etched Metal parts and fine Anchor Chain for one ship kit· Recommended kits: 1/350 Trumpeter Prinz Eugen (TRP #05313) Scalemates.com has a listing that shows the package art. They confirm that it is designed for the Trumpeter #05313 Prinz Eugen kit. There are also links to references for Hipper Class heavy cruisers. I couldn’t find any reviews of this particular deck, but Sean Hert did an outstanding review of the wood deck for Fujimi’s 1/350 IJN Haruna (Wood Hunter #W35017) on the modelwarships.com site. I assume his comments would apply to the entire family of Wood Hunter decks. He described the deck as light-color wood about 0.008” thick with planks and details laser-cut into the wood. He tested a piece, and it adhered well and laid flat (what more could you want!). His Conclusion was: “Wood Hunter offer a good, consistent product that is competitively priced, and they always have some sort of photoetch included. The addition of the deck for the ship's boats is a nice touch.” The set is in clear plastic sleeve about 28” x 6”. As you can see from the pictures, the package is pristine and still sealed, so I consider it factory sealed and absolutely gift-ready. This item contains one laser cut self-adhesive wooden deck (in 27 pieces), a fine anchor chain and a fret of photo etched metal parts. The deck requires no cement or paint to complete as shown.
