Description: Item for sale is a January 2, 1810 letter from John Frothingham to his son John (?) regarding his request for money to assist with college expenses at Union College in Schenectady, NY.I like how he begins the letter, "It is always my wish that you conduct and support yourself with becoming propriety..." Paper yellowed and ink faded from age. Top corner of letter torn away and sheet has some holes. Letter is written on a large 14 3/4" x 12 1/4" sheet of paper which has been folded in half. Same sheet is purposed as the envelop and addressed on the outside. Please see pictures for details.
