Description: PCGS authenticated and graded XF Details. Glossy light brown speckled with tiny spots of darker olive brown toning on the reverse. The reverse has a scrape from the ribbon end down to the dentils plus a couple dozen small ticks inside the wreath, none notable but too many to ignore. Frost shows in the protected areas on both sides. Very rare terminal die state (TDS) with a large, strong die break connecting NITED to the rim. The reverse is rotated 40 degrees clockwise. The obverse is smooth with only trivial contact marks, nearly choice. Tied for CC#4 honors for the variety in the Noyes census, his photo #22242. A great cent in spite of that small scrape on the reverse, and it comes with a very nice provenance.Ex; Thomas L. Elder 10/1924:1368 - Henry C. Hines - Dr. William H.
