It also includes song, ballads and anecdotes and humorous incidents of the war. It was published in 1867 by Jones Brothers & Co. and is a first edition. The cover is maroon cloth with gold stamped lettering and decorations on the spine and cover. There are tissue guarded illustrations of General E. Lee and J. Johnston. There are many pull out maps and illustrations. This book came from the library of Walter Burgwyn Jones of Montgomery, Alabama. He was an American Legislator, Judge and writer from Alabama. He served in the Alabama House of Representatives as a Democratic and worked as a Circuit Court Judge for many years. His signature is on the cover page. Condition: There are tears, chips, stains and browning on the spine and cover. The edges of the spine and the corners of the covers are bumped and worn. See close up photos.
