Description: This chromolithograph image is a page from the W Duke & Sons HEROES OF THE CIVIL WAR album - a redemption offer from the company in 1888 / 1889. The pages from this album measure approx. 7" by 11". The chromolithographic images look beautiful and vibrant in person, the image produced through a process known as chromolithography. The album itself consisted of pages featuring the50 most famous generals from the Civil War along with a couple scenes from hostoric battles of the war. The pages contain the same images and biographical information contained in the individual booklets that were issued in packs of cigarettes with a coupon. 200 coupons were needed to be redeemed for this beautiful album. These images look great framed. The back of the page contains the remainder of the biography for the two featured generals. This is a vintage 1889 issue by Duke cigarettes.
