Description: The card served as an advertisement for Sporting Life’s magazines. Sporting Life was popular as sports became a bigger part of everyday lives in the U.S. Pictured is a card that covers the gamut when it comes to sports. Numerous pieces of sporting equipment were included along with a picture of a woman with a tennis racket. The primary scene on the card, however, is a baseball game being played. The publication was five cents, as advertised, and recipients of the trade card were encouraged to request a free sample copy. Sporting Life was present in a number of baseball collectibles. Most notably, they produced the popular M116 baseball card set, among other cards and cabinets. In addition to those issues and this trade card, the company also distributed other trade cards.
