1920s Gem CHUBBY KID Betty & Buddy Lee / Kewpie Style CARNIVAL DOLL Jointed Arms

Description: HTF vintage 13” 1920s carnival doll made of solid composition with: big painted, side-glancing googly eyes with long eyelashes and eyebrows;air-blushed rosy cheeks, belly button, knees and feet;spring-jointed arms that move up and down;stiff legs and flat feet which allow her to stand on her own.In very nice condition with only a few teeny spots of flaked / nicked paint of her original flesh-color body and brown hair. Comes dressed in a sweet striped dress. Carnival dolls were extremely popular during the roaring twenties, like the Betty Boop dolls, and were often won as prizes at summertime carnivals.
