Description: 1932 Xth OLYMPIAD LOS ANGELES OLYMPIC GAMES WOODEN STREET SIGN (PLAQUE). In excellent condition. Well preserved over its 90+ year life. You will not find another like it. This item is similar to an Olympics street sign with a discus thrower sold on ebay over 10 years ago. Made of California Redwood it measures 11 inches round and is almost 1 inch thick. It reads: "1932 Los Angeles Xth Olympiad" and has an image of a woman's head in the center. It was used to mark the parade route on the way to the newly built L.A. Coliseum. Some city workers were taking down these signs and they were going to be used as fuel, but luckily this one was spared. This authentic sign is in very good condition and has been converted into a plaque for hanging display. Free U.S. Shipping.
