On March 10th Thirteen earthquake shocks of varying intensity rocked a section 200 miles long, from San Diego to Santa Barbara, and thirty miles wide, crumpling buildings like cardboard and causing the death of 127 persons, the injury of about 5,000 and property damage which estimated at $50,000,000 the center of the quake was at Los Angeles and some of the communities which cluster about this city, with long the communities which cluster about this city, with long beach being the hardest hit of any one sector.
