The show was sponsored by Ovaltine from 1931 to 1940 and then by Quaker cereals from 1941 to 1942. Beginning in 1935, Ovaltine offered brass badges with a decoding feature so that club members could decode secret messages from Annie presented as a string of numbers during each episode.
