We were given the opportunity to go through and purchase a storage room that had been under lock and key since 1971 and never opened. Everything in this storage area was prior to 1971. They were getting ready to take down the storage rooms and make room for a new building, and destroying everything inside. Thankfully, we were able to purchase and save these really cool collectibles. This locker had toys, Barbie's, Barbie accessories and dolls, many with dates and everything is dated prior to 1971. Just a guess, but I think this storage area could have been from someone in the military and or a GI. There are a lot of reasons for someone in military in the late 60's and early 70's to leave a storage room and never return. This storage was located near Washington DC, Baltimore and Ft. Meade where there is a large military community.
