Description: Note: Please study the images carefully to determine the condition of this vintage photograph, as it may not be in perfect condition. It may contain wrinkles, cracks, and possibly even tears due to its age and how it was handled before it got to us. A scanner may interpret colors and contrast differently than human eyes will, so it is possible that the actual photograph may be slightly darker or lighter in person. This vintage photograph is offered for sale as a collectible item and conveys no transfer of copyright. 1951 Press Photo Interior view of the newly renovated White House Dining Room Washington, D.C. - This is a black-and-white copy of a water color showing the state dining room, or the West Room, on the main floor of the White House, as it will appear when renovations are completed at the executive mansion. An antique Hepplewhite four-pedestal dining table, received by donation, will be used in the room. The chairs will be renovated and recovered with silk velvet matching the gold silk damask draperies which were hung only a few months before the house was closed. The room will be painted in green and the floor will be covered with a Chenille rug with a carved border of classic reed and Acanthus Scrolls. Photo measures 2.5 x 2 inches. Photo Is dated 1951.
