Description: This listing is for one, 1953 2 Dollar Star Note, as pictured. Exact note photographed. Fr#1509*. Very Good - Fine Grade / Condition. The United States two-dollar bill ($2) is a denomination of United States currency. A portrait of Thomas Jefferson, the third President of the United States (1801-1809), is featured on the obverse of the note. The reverse features an engraving of the c. 1818 painting Declaration of Independence by John Trumbull. Throughout the $2 bill's pre-1929 life as a large-sized note, it was issued as a United States Note, National Bank Note, silver certificate, Treasury or "Coin" Note and Federal Reserve Bank Note. When U.S. currency was changed to its current size, the $2 bill was issued only as a United States Note. Production continued until 1966, when United States Notes were phased out and the $2 denomination discontinued until 1976 when it was reissued as a Federal Reserve Note with a new reverse design. 1953 STAR NOTE Red Seal 2 Dollar United States Note - VF (Very Fine) Grade - 1953-B Two Dollar U.S. Star Note 1953B Star Note Fr#1511* 1953 STAR NOTE Red Seal 2 Dollar United States Note - VF (Very Fine) Grade - 1953 Two Dollar U.S. Star Note 1953 Star Note Fr#1509* 1953-A STAR NOTE Red Seal 2 Dollar United States Note - VG (Very Good) Grade - 1953 A Two Dollar United States Note 1953 Star Note Fr#1510* 1953 Red Seal 2 Dollar Bill (Two Dollar Bill) - Uncirculated - Rarer version of this note - 1953A / 1953 A Silver Certificate 2 Dollar Bill 1953 Red Seal 2 Dollar Bill (Two Dollar Bill) - AU (About Uncirculated) - Rarer version of this note - 1953 Two Dollar / 1953 C 2 Dollar
