Description: Offering a 1960's pill microphone customized with RCA Styling. These Calrad mics designed for the home consumer were clearly designed to mimic the famous RCA 77, but on a smaller scale (about 1/2 size.) They looked way better than they sounded, from the factory, due to cheap tinny-sounding crystal elements. We removed those crystals and installed a high quality dynamic capsule which GREATLY improved the fidelity. I'd say it's "broadcast quality" or even "recording studio" quality. Adding the customized RCA wrap-around band further dials in the "RCA look". We also replaced the stiffened cable with a new 18" shielded cable to 1/4" male phono plug. If you prefer XLR, we can make that swap. (Check out the audio sample provided on the listing video.) Style-wise, these mics emulate the larger brother RCA 77, and continue to be highly sought after and prized for their stunningly iconic looks. Included is the display desk stand. Overall height 12". **Always safe secure packaging, fast fair shipping, and we offer combined shipping for multiple purchases. ** WANTED!
