Description: For your viewing pleasure is this great sounding 1963 Ludwig Pioneer 5x14 snare drum in blue / silver Duco finish. This one features a blue center with silver edges which is less common and the blue has retained it's vibrance over the decades. As is typical with this finish, there is some crazing and paint loss as shown. This 6 lug beauty features a three ply white interior shell with internal date stamp of DEC 4 1963. It has a nice early 4 digit keystone badge (serial # 12XX), original nickel hardware including a P-83 strainer and butt, red felt baseball bat muffler, beautiful bow-tie lugs, and nickel over steel hoops. There are no extra holes or modifications. Most importantly, it tunes up like a champ and sounds fantastic. Enjoy!
