Description: 1970 Schilke B5 Pro Bb trumpet #5814 Silver Plate Fantastic Classic Horn , Rare 4 digit serial number Those that know this horn and year vintage, know that this is a fantastic playing horn. It is in just great shape for being 54 years old. Perfect? No. Please utilize this narrative as well as the photos submitted for the stated condition of this horn. It has some wear and scratches commensurate with the age. It has a few minor dings. No large dents or repairs seen. All braces solid and intact. Some of the silver plate has some wear in the hand holding areas that appear to have been worn slightly showing some yellow brass, but have been smoothed out slightly and touched up with spot silver plating. Horn looks awesome 1 foot away. See photos for some flaw areas marked in red. It has the main tuning slide silver plated about 1” on the inner pipe for good tuning “looks”! Sure you can pick apart some flaws at 3-6” but keep in mind this horn is 5 decades old! Anyway, if you want a player …. 👍… don’t pass this one by just because it’s not “perfect” . Go for a total restoration horn then at $3,500 +. The valves are absolutely awesome, new pads, felts, aligned perfectly, great compression, no visible wear on the pistons. Fast Butter Valves. This horn has been bathtub washed with Dawn, and ultrasonically cleaned. Exterior polished with Flitz. No red rot seen, leadpipe nice and shiny inside. Clean, clean, clean horn !!! It Plays like it’s reputation, just a great tone, great articulation, intonation, easy clean upper register. If you think a new B5 is good … this one will blow you away. It comes with a lightly used mint like new KANSTUL deluxe hard case with no smells or flaws, huge hard wood case, glorious. No mouthpiece included. Case lock set to 000 zero. Comes with instructions to change combo. The case has no exterior badge or logo. I believe a WILD THING horn originally sat in this case.
