When describing the car to his brother Jake Blues, Elwood says, Its got a cop motor, a 440-cubic-inch plant. Its got cop tires, cop suspension, cop shocks. Its a model made before catalytic converters so itll run good on regular gas. The sedan has the ability to perform seemingly impossible stunts, such as flipping backwards in midair and even flying for very brief periods of time. Clearly unimpressed, especially considering the cigarette lighter does not work, Elwood slams on the gas and jumps over an open drawbridge. Jake nonchalantly states, Cars got a lot of pickup. Elwood retorts, So what do you say, is it the new Bluesmobile or what? Jake replies, Fix the cigarette lighter.
