Description: This Jacket was custom made for Mark Schultz by the tailors at Levi Strauss and Co. before the 1984 Olympics. Greg Strobel, USA Wrestling Team Manager, got a call from the tailors to tell him there must be a mistake in the jacket measurements saying "No one has shoulders this wide and a waist this small". Strobel said " It's no mistake. Mark Schultz does". Mark competed at Oklahoma University winning 3 NCAA titles. While at Oklahoma Mark's team mate at 118 lbs was Bobby DeProspero. Bobby's dad was the Director of the Secret Service and was always with the President. After the Olympics the medalists were brought to the Hollywood Hilton to meet President Reagan. Mr. DeProspero saw Mark and Dave Schultz in the middle of the line and yelled at them to come to the front where he said to the President "these are the guys I was telling you about".
