1991 Heisman Collection Angelo Bertelli #9 autographed /200

Description: 1991 Heisman Collection Angelo Bertelli #9 autographed /200. This pack was sealed until 2023 when I opened it and was pleasantly surprised to find this signed autograph Bertelli inside (number 80 of 200). The card immediately was transferred to a magnetic case where it has been since. I see a few autographed Bertelli’s for sale online, but most were signed after release and are not one of the original numbered /200. Only one of these inserted /200 autographed cards has ever been graded (PSA 8). It’s actually for sale on eBay right now for $250 USD ($344 CAD). If you look at it with a naked eye, you’ll notice that my card appears to have better corners and a better signature - but of course, it would still need to be sent for grading to confirm. To help eliminate any surprises, I’ve used a loupe to take magnified photos of the four corners so you know exactly what you’re getting. I can’t fathom that this card wouldn’t grade an 8, possibly a 9 (my limited knowledge of grading tells me it’s probably not a 10). If it doesn’t sell in the next month, I’m going to PSA grade it myself, but if someone wants to pay up-front now to take the chance that this is a 9 and reap the rewards later, I’m good with that. I think $300 Canadian gives you room to have it graded an 8 and break-even (after paying PSA), but leaves you a profit if it comes back higher. Of course, you could just keep this beautiful rare card for your own collection. In his three QB seasons, Bertelli finished 2nd and 6th in Heisman voting, before winning it in his final season. In his Heisman season, 1943, Notre Dame won by an average score of 43-5. He was then the first draft choice of 1944. Sadly, Angelo Bertelli passed away in 1999.
