Description: 1991 Rand McNally Road Atlas & Travel Guide United States/Canada/Mexico Description Up for sale is a vintage (or nearing vintage) Rand McNally Road Atlas & Travel Guide from 1991; covering the United States, Canada, and Mexico. This map book was recently found in a storage bin that was sitting in a closet whilst doing a much needed and long overdue spring cleaning. This map book exhibits some minor signs of wear on it; appearing in the form of some wear and tear along the spline; as there seems to be a minor scuff mark appearing along the top left hand corner on the front of the book (or the top right from the rear) occurring just above the top staple. The cover also has some surface marks on it which most likely came about from being kept in storage with a bunch of other stuff that may have rubbed up against it; 'causing these scratches/visible wear on the cover; which also appears to be a bit faded. Aside from that visible wear, the pages inside have yellowed a bit from overall age and general storage. Despite of these aforementioned blemishes, this book is still in pretty good condition and is still very legible. I figure this publication might be a good addition to any cartography enthusiast's collection out there for this very particular niche market; published in an analog era as opposed to the digital age where one can easily see where they're going with mobile apps and whatnot. This map also doubles as a historical time capsule of sorts; as it also showcases what general cartography was like a few decades ago, so that's another thing that makes it pretty interesting in my opinion. This book has an ISBN number of 0-528-25624-6 written vertically against the spline on the rear cover, and oddly enough there's no UPC code to accompany it; making it a bit of an oddball publication. It also has 88 numbered pages to it as well. Either way, I'm pricing it to move, so please be sure to get in on this deal while it still lasts, for my loss is your gain as they say in the trade.
