Description: The Morningstar SunSaver charge controller is a voltage regulator that keeps your batteries from being over charged by your solar panels. Most “12-volt” panels put out about 16 V to 20 volts, but “12-volt” batteries require 14 V to 14.5 V to become fully charged, so without regulation the batteries will be damaged from overcharging. Advantages of this product: The SunSaver is a small, single module 20-A, 12-V, PWM (pulse width modulation) charge controller with three-stage charging (bulk charge, absorption, float and equalize [flooded batteries only]) and temperature compensation. It has LED status lights to show the charging status, battery status and faults. It is fully encapsulated in epoxy potting for protection against moisture and dust. The SunSaver has a built-in low voltage disconnect (LVD) to protect the battery bank from complete discharge.
