Jozef Kroner was a Slovak actor. He starred in the Oscar-winning film The Shop on Main Street, and in more than 50 other Slovak films, as well as in several Czech, Bulgarian and Hungarian productions. The reverse shows a portrait of Jozef Kroner with his signature below. You can also find a small cartoonish image of a fish as a reference to Kroner’s passion for fishing. The obverse depicts a horizontal strip of film. In the middle, overlaying the strip’s central frame, is a representation of Tóno Brtko, a famous character played by Kroner. The left side is mostly covered by a stylised comedy and tragedy mask, stage boards and a theatre curtain. The proof coin comes delivered in a coin case, and includes a certificate of authenticity.
