The Wolverines swept through the regular season with relative ease and they beat Washington State 21-16 in the Rose Bowl to finish the season unbeaten: 12-0. Woodson’s “Heisman Moment” came in the final regular season game against Ohio State. In the second quarter, with Michigan leading 7-0, Woodson returned a punt for 77 yards past the Buckeyes’ bench and into history.
