Thank you!This is a group of 5 fully polished pieces of Burmite (Burmese) amber that each contain fossils from the time of the dinosaurs. The fossils include a piece with a wasp from the Cretaceous Period, a second piece has a Psocopteran insect along with a couple bivalve seashells, a piece with a fly, a fourth piece with a beetle, and lastly a piece with plant fibers, all from the time of the dinosaurs! It is fascinating to note that these fossils were around when dinosaurs were still walking the Earth including T-Rex and Triceratops. The pieces weigh a total of 9.3 grams with approximate dimensions between 1.6 and 2.7 cm length. I have been selling amber fossils for over 10 years on eBay and do not sell fake amber only genuine material from now extinct plant sources not glass or plastic embedded with present day inclusions. (Burmese) amber is difficult to acquire and has been dated to be Cretaceous in age (around 100 million years old) and would have been sticky resin during the time of the dinosaurs and is being mined in the Hukawng Valley in Myanmar (Burma). Please note that the saltwater test to identify real from fake amber is not reliable. The saltwater test claims that real amber will float in saltwater while fake amber will sink. However, many amber sources or even specimens will not float in saltwater as their botanical (plant) composition as well as fossil inclusions are such that they are more dense than saltwater and so sink.
