Description: I found this eopachydiscus species ammonite July 13, 2024 in Oliver Creek near Justin, Texas. It has really nice sutures visible on one side and a lot of calcite on the outer edge of the other (non-display) side. Its estimated age of 90-100 million years old places it in the age of dinosaurs, when a vast sea known as the western interior seaway covered the middle of the North American continent. Please review all photos prior to purchase! No repairs have been made or were/are necessary. I prepared this ammonite using hammer, chisel, sandpaper, and a dremel 290 with a zoic paleo chisel tip. A polyurethane coat helps highlight the nice sutures visible on the inner and outer whorls. Approx 8” diameter 4 pounds, 7 ounces NO STAND INCLUDED WITH THIS PURCHASE.
