Description: 9’ 3/1 South Bend Model 67 Bamboo Fly Rod – c. 1932 – Uncommon Offering a 9’ 3-piece South Bend model 67 bamboo fly rod. The rod was made within a year or two of 1932. Although unmarked, it matches South Bend's model 67 catalog description; it may have been part of a kit or sold unmarked through the trade. It has a black painted finish with red and green wraps. The rod also sports the upgraded chromium plated screw locking reel seat and once had a garnix stripping guide. The stripping guide and a snake guide are missing. The rod would benefit from re-wrapping a new set of guides if it will be fished. The sections are full length, but the mid and tip have fishing sets. The cork shows a few hook digs and some minor ridging. There is also a hook dig or split shot crack on the mid section (please see photos). The ferrules are sizes 17/64 and 12/64. The fit is good. The rod weighs 6.0 ounces. Please zoom in on photos for further details. If you have any questions or would like more photos, please don't hesitate to ask. Thank you and good luck!
