An Evening With Santana Original 1979 Concert Poster Chicago Uptown Theatre

Description: (Scroll down to see all 11 photos of the poster - click on a photo to get a closeup view) This auction is for an original concert poster for a Santana concert by Santana at the Uptown Theatre in Chicago on Thanksgiving, November 22, 1979. The poster measures 16" x 11" and is printed on a thin card stock paper. The poster reads "Jam Productions, Columbia Records, & the Loop FM 98 Invite You to An Evening With Santana - A Decade of Music - Thanksgiving - Nov. 22, 1979 8:00pm, Uptown Theatre, Chicago - Performing Music From the New Santana Album...Marathon". This poster would have been distributed to advertise the upcoming concert. (It is a little hard to get a perfect photo of the poster, since it has a somewhat reflective gold color on the front - so I've taken photos from a few angles. ) The poster is in good condition - the corners have bends, with a 1-1/2" diagonal crease in the lower right corner and a couple smaller ones below it - there is a light vertical crease through the middle of the poster - there is a 6-1/2" diagonal crease about 2-1/2" in the upper left through the "S" in "SANTANA" - below that there are a couple 2-1/2" half-circle creases along the middle to upper left edge - there is a light 8" vertical crease on the top half, about an inch from the right edge - there is a 3" crease/indentation along the bottom of the "NTA" letters in "SANTANA" at the top - there are a couple light pencil-eraser size stains in the upper right - there are four 1" diagonal creases about 2 to 3 inches from the left center edge along the guitar Santana is holding - on the album cover in the lower right corner (Marathon) there are a few marks and an indentation a little above the "H" in "Marathon" - there are a few light marks and a few smaller creases - on the blank back there is a small stain. A NICE PIECE OF SANTANA CONCERT MEMORABILIA THAT WOULD LOOK GREAT FRAMED! When packed, this will ship at the 2 pound rate, so postage would depend on your distance from Chicago - check the postage calculator.
