Description: This ancient Anglo Saxon pottery cup vessel is a stunning piece of history. Made in the 5th or 6th century A.D., it is an original piece that has been well-preserved. Measures aprox. 4” tall and 4” wide at waist ridge. No chips or cracks, has museum inventory number on bottom, also an incised mark on underside. This piece came from the estate of Warren M. Robbins founder of Smithsonian’s National Museum of African Art.
