Description: This is an Antique 1912 Gebrüder Bing Nürnberg GBN Hand Cranked MAGIC LANTERN. It is being sold for parts and repair as it obviously does not work. The cord has no plug on it at this time. I don’t know if it was originally candle power and it was retrofitted later to Electric. It kind of looks like that, but I am not sure. It comes with a detachable lens assembly that is hand cranked. A lot of the pieces on that look brass. The lens is intact but dirty. It does not look cracked. The crank mechanism works fully, but is very stiff and could probably use some lubrication. I did not try to force it, but if you give the rotating screen a little assistance, it all turns smoothly. it is marked on the bottom 9 1912 56/8 I think. It measures about 17 1/2 inches long with the lens attachment on it. It measures about 13 1/2 inches tall. I do not know much about this, but I have told you what I do know. Thanks for looking.
