Description: Very nice mid-19th c ambrotype photograph of a young mother and her 2 children. This is a clear image, nicely posed by the photographer. It is a sixth plate (2 3/4" X 3 1/4") ambrotype. It was found in a 1/2 case. The top section of the wood and embossed paper covered case is missing. This glass ambrotype is in very good condition. The interior gilt metal matte has some oxidation and aging, as pictured. Thanks for your interest.
