Description: This is a fantastic Antique Campaign Tambour Writing Slope, made c1880. Pulling the drawer open also opens the Tambour section on the top to reveal some empty compartments, two of which have lids to be used for Ink Wells. The writing surface is in good condition and when the top section is opened it reveals a storage compartment with two drawers. There is a lock on the writing surface which has not been tested as there’s no key. To the base there is a makers or retailers label for Bertrand Frank & Pfluger. It is in good condition overall with just a little age-related wear from handling and use, which includes a little wear to the surface of the veneer but nothing major to note. It measures approximately 36cm wide. Please note: There are reflections shining onto the item in the photos from the background lighting used.
