Featuring a dainty and light as a feather pom-pom, made of crimped, crinkle, crisp tinsel, center is wrapped with the finest wire which allows ornie to hang from a feather tree branch as shown. Designed as a Christmas ornament, specifically for a feather tree, and dating first part of the 1900s, it is incredibly delicate, yet sturdy, so if it is crushed a bit when stored, it can be fluffed out into a ball shape. I received these from my Grandmother - she had several boxes full that she brought over from her home in Baden Baden when they immigrated in the 1920s. The pom-pom has never been used, and condition is excellent - I've shown it hanging from the arm of a small 12" feather tree so you can get an idea of size. Think this is just the perfect way to fill out an open space between tree branches or decorate an antique Christmas tree. Lovely addition to any collection or display!
