The magazine was subtitled "Lectures du Soir" ("Reading in the Evening"). This issue is dated March 1872. Contributers to to the magazine over the years included: Alexandre Dumas, Theophile Gautier, Jules Verne, and Honore' de Balzac. The antique ornate oval frame is ~14" x 12". The condition of the frame is fair with many nick, dents, and scratches in the frame along the perimeter and some water damage to the back of the frame and picture backing. The condition of the picture is fairly good (considering its estimated age) with a noticeable water mark on the middle left of the picture and another less notable mark on the lower right portion of the picture. Other damage/blemishing is likely present and noticeable to the trained eye. The glass also contains some pits, scratches and flaws consistent with its age. Please observe photos closely.
