Antique French large wooden panel pediment which is a stunning architectural crown from the Breton region of France. Beautifully carved with elegant swag detail. It would have originally embellished a decadent piece of furniture. It could now be used as a bed canopy, ciel de lit, hung above a bed to create a decorative centre piece from which to hang drapes. You could use above a fireplace or window, also add a few brass hooks and it would make a perfect coat rack. Lovely condition showing an aged patina, normal wear you would expect, age splits, surface scratches and old indentations. Great for interior design.
