Description: Antique 14 inch tall 1870's wax over papier mache doll. This is a SLIT HEAD hair model, meaning a slit was cut in the center of her head and human hair was inserted. Black set pupiless eyes, closed mouth, blushed cheeks, nice HIGH COLOR. Overall, the head is in good condition. Some crazing to the wax and roughness to the edge of her shoulder plate, but it's all stable. Org. cloth body with individually stitched fingers, side turned feet. She has one sewn on shoes (with holes) and the other is torn and loose. She is wearing an antique, possibly org. two piece walking suit (many, many moth holes) antique cotton bloomers, and a vintage bonnet.
