Description: Antique Petite 6” Kammer & Reihardt/S&H Bisque Doll w/Trousseau Trunk Mignonette Description: This is an adorable and hard-to-find petite Mignonette-sized Kämmer & Reinhardt / Simon & Halbig doll, complete with a trousseau of original clothing and accessories. Bisque socket head with open mouth showing two visible teeth, blue sleeping glass eyes, delicately painted upper and lower lashes, and brown painted brows. She has a long blonde mohair wig and is on her composition five-piece body with black painted socks and brown two-strap shoes with a small heel. She is wearing her antique factory-original cotton pleated dress with lace trimming, a matching hat, and white cotton lace-trimmed undergarments. The back of the head is incised with 'S & H' // 'K & R' // Star of David // '15'. Made in Germany, circa 1900. The trousseau comprises two original dresses, a matching beret, a wide-brim hat, a pleated short-sleeve tunic with a feathered collar, a celluloid hand mirror, and a comb. The doll comes in a fancy wooden trunk covered with textured leather, featuring brass strapping reinforcements, matching side handles, a brass plate on the top of the lid that reads 'Los Dos Chinos,' and a striped paper-lined interior. Dimensions: Doll: 6 inches (15 cm) height.Trunk: 7-¼ (18.5 cm) x 5-½ (14 cm) x 5” (12.5 cm) Condition: Flawless head with very nice, smooth coloring and no cracks, hairlines, or repairs of any kind. The eyes are perfectly functional. The original finish body needs to be restrung. The dresses and accessories are in excellent condition, while the trunk shows some typical signs of use.
