Description: Antique Tartanware Louise go to bed match holder. X- Rare very Early C 1868 . This example has the Victorian lozenge patent to the top. Still has its original Bone finial for insertion of the lit match. This example has clearly been well used over its long life time only adding to its charm . A Genuine piece of Scottish history. In overall excellent condition for its age just wear to the edges commensurate with age. Most of the original paint design still present and colours good. Top fits perfectly as it should made by top craftsman. Size. 40mm high not included the finial 20mm wide . Matches were obviously tiny back then .
