I have no information or provenance to identify who these desperados may be or why they appear to be gloating over their guarded possession. Subjects look a lot like the notorious not so camera-shy bandits Robert LeRoy Parker aka: Butch Cassidy and William Carver aka: News. The photograph was sourced from a collection of tintypes in 2021. The tintype measures about 2 1/2" x 3 1/2". Shows signs of age and wear along with smudges, scratches, scuffs, nicks, spots, scrapes, dings, age cracks, bends, and creases.
