Areatas IV is mentioned in the BIble in II Corinthians 11:32 when he ordered the capture of the apostle Paul. Paul escapes by being lowered in a basket through a window in the city wall of Damascus. Areatas IV was also the father-in-law of Herod Antipas. Antipas's first wife was Aretas IV's daughter Phasaelis. She was his wife before Antipas married the wife of his brother Herod Philip. The reverse features a crossed cornucopia and inscription. This is a coin that has been sought after for years. It is a chance to own one that is guaranteed authentic. Grading is subjective.
