Description: Here we have a little model of the Lost Ark of the Covenant, an important historical artifact to both Jews and Christians, and this one comes with the contents, as detailed in Hebrews 9:4: The two stone tablets of the Ten Commandments (Somewhat abbreviated due to the small size of the model), Aaron's rod that miraculously budded (Numbers 17), and a golden jar of Manna from Exodus 16:33. For extra safety carrying the Ark, you can insert wooden cocktail skewers (preferably painted gold) into the side slots so you don't have an "Uzzah" incident (2 Samuel 6:6). The writer of Hebrews couldn't discuss the details because by the time the book of Hebrews was written the Ark had already been missing for six centuries. The writer does however mention what the Ark's contents were at one time and he seems to be making reference to certain passages of the Old Testament. In Exodus 16:33-34, 25:10-16 and Numbers 17:10 God tells Moses to put the gold jar of manna, Aaron's staff that had budded, and the stone tablets of the covenant into the Ark. However in 1 Kings 8:9, when Solomon brought the Ark into the Temple which he had built, it only contained the stone tablets. The other contents, the rod and the jar of manna, must have been removed at some point before the Ark was brought into the temple. And that is all the Bible says about the contents of the Ark of the Covenant. Fully assembled. Removable lid lets you remove and view the contents. This model is inspired by the Ark in "Raiders of the lost Ark," and is about 1/11 scale or 4" long (The actual Ark was 2 1/2 cubits, or 45 inches). 3D printed in golden plastic and hand painted details, this model will show layer lines.
