After winning the Oscar for his best remembered film, Michael Todd (1907 - 1958) would soon marry Elizabeth Taylor in Acapulco, Mexico (February 2, 1957). Todd was the driving force in the creation of the Todd-AO wide-screen film format, as used in "Around the World in 80 Days." The film starred David Niven, Cantinflas, Shirley MacLaine and Robert Newton. In addition, the cast included nearly 50 celebrated cameo performances, including Joe E. Brown, John Carradine, Noel Coward, Andy Devine, Marlene Dietrich, Sir John Gielgud, Peter Lorre, Buster Keaton, Victor McLaglen, John Mills (father of Hayley Mills), Edward R. Murrow, Jack Oakie, Frank Sinatra, Red Skelton and many more. Book is in excellent condition with tight binding and minimal wear after nearly seven decades in subsequent long-term storage.
