We are unsure exactly what kind of wood it is made from however it is a solid hardwood, possibly rosewood or teak.....or another hardwood specie that has been stained the reddish color and lacquered with a clear coat. This is from the estate of a Korean couple who informed us that this was shipped over from Korea when they moved to the states in the 1970's and it has been well cared for since then with only a few tiny imperfections from age and use. Please take a good look at the pictures to get a better idea of beauty and condition. All along the outer apron are gorgeous oriental style carvings with what appears to be a winged butterfly or moth in the center plus engraved brass medallions at each corner. The legs have been carved into elegant, curvaceous forms and fold up under the table for easy storage and transport. This would make a wonderful addition to your Asian inspired decor.
