After the unproductive fight, the both battleships separated. “Virginia” took part in several less important operations, but did not meet with an enemy any more. In May 1862, after the southerners had to leave Norfolk, “Virginia” was destroyed because of impossibility of its towing. It is not a difficult but rather interesting model.
