Description: For sale is a Rare! and unique Antique 18TH Century blacksmith Hand Wrought Iron Pennsylvania keyhole spatula. The handle has greatly decorative twists and is uniquely attached with an arrow form neck and rivet to the body. The end of the handle also features an elegant rattail hook. The spade of the key hole form is unique to Pennsylvania craftsmanship in the 1700s. All part is original and in great condition. Full of beautiful hand folding and hammering sign. Highly skilled whitework craftsman who created the decorations. A high quality piece that should not be missed by any serious collector of antique iron/ early Americana objects. It measures approximately 12” long and about 4” wide at the widest point. It has very minimal surface rust and is straight when looked from the sideline. Great condition!
