DESCRIPTION Burt Bacharach / Hal David - “What’s New Pussycat? Original Motion Picture Soundtrack” United Artists Records UA-LA278-G (Stereo) from 1965. Hard to Find 1970s repressing / reissue of the 1965 Original Soundtrack from the Movie Starring Peter Sellers, Peter O’Toole, Woody Allen, Romy Schneider, Paula Prentiss, Ursula Andress and more. Features Soundtrack music by Burt Bacharach with Lyrics by Hal David including the Tom Jones hit of the Titile Song and Manfred Mann’s Original version of “My Little Red Book”, later made famous by Love. This a a 1970s repressing on the Tan UA labels and in the Original Frank Frazetta Artwork Cover with NO promo markings or Barcode. CONDITION The Sleeve is in nice shape. There is some very slight shelf wear and corner softening/wear. There is a soft crease in the lower right corner and a cutout drill hole in the lower left. There is a small tear on the top of the opening edge. Still super solid with no splits, stains, writing, etc. and would rate at least VG+ overall. The Vinyl is in pristine Glossy condition looking barely played. If you look really closely you can spot a couple slight scuffs / marks but still very close to New condition. At least EX visually and plays pretty much perfectly Near Mint. The labels are NM. SONG LIST A1 What's New Pussycat? If I provide Play Grades it is done as a courtesy but I only guarantee the Visual Grade. I have summarized the important (i.e. I think everyone knows what Mint means) points below in Goldmine's words: Very Good Plus (VG+): Record surfaces may show some slight signs of wear and may have slight scuffs or very light scratches that don't affect one's listening experience. Slight warps that do not affect the sound are OK. Very Good (VG): Surface noise will be evident upon playing,... Groove wear will start to be noticeable, as will light scratches (deep enough to feel with a fingernail) that will affect the sound. I stand by my grades but would like us to be on the same page so no problems arise. I have been selling Vintage Vinyl for over twenty years on the net and I can count the returns I've had on one hand so I believe my grading is fair and accurate. One important note, I try to grade to these Goldmine guides as best as I can understand and apply them. This gives us both a written standard to go by rather than having to guess. But.... it also means that I don't issue refunds over differences of opinion in grading i.e. "That's not MY idea of a VG record!" - I don't know what your standards are and, as such, can't grade to them.
