Description: This is a Bach Stradivarius Model 239 C Trumpet from the late 1980s and a Getzen Eterna D Trumpet from the early 1970s, sold together in a Bach case. Both are silver plated. I gave them a once-over with Tarni-Shield but there are still some discolored areas in the nooks and crannies. On the Getzen, the silver plating is worn away in a few patches on the valve casings, and on the Bach, the plating seems rough in a few patches on the valve casings. The Bach has a small (1/16") pit on the bell and they both have dents on the 2nd valve slide. It looks like water key broke off the 3rd valve slide of the Getzen and the hole was filled with solder. But all the valves and slides move freely and both horns play great. To my ear, the Bach has an especially clear, open tone.
