Description: Presented is a wonderful quality antique 22 karat yellow gold wedding band, dating to circa 1905. This band is quite well made, with an excellent feeling of weight for its size. The 22 karat gold has a deep rich yellow color, which the photos can't fully do justice. The design of the band is not unlike what we call 'comfort' bands today, with slightly rounded sides so I believe it would be quite comfortable to wear full time. The interior is engraved with two sets of initials in script, and the date Oct. 20, 1905. This band is in great condition overall. There is a cut in the band, so it would be exceptionally easy at this stage to resize the ring up or down. The band not worn through or thinned, the cut is deliberate and clean. This ring is stamped on the interior with 22kt and a maker's mark of a K in a diamond shaped punch. We have tested the ring with nitric acid and guarantee it to be 22 karat gold purity. This ring is a size 7 3/4 as it is right now. The band is about 3 millimeters wide. The band weighs 5.3 grams. -jm Powered by SixBit's eCommerce Solution
