C1970 Vintage Solid 18K Men's Bucherer Wrist Watch 21J Automatic Wind Movement

Here is an outstanding vintage men's wrist watch from Bucherer, with a 21 Jewel Mechanical Winding Movement. The watch measures 34 millimeters wide and is 8 millimeters thick. The watch with fairly new black leather band measures 8-3/4 inches long total, and the entire watch with band, movement and crystal weighs 25.3 grams. The watch is running, and seems to keep time, but we have not had it cleaned or serviced, and have no idea how long it will run or if it will keep time. I can tell you that I wore it for an hour and a half during which it kept running and kept time. The watch does have signs of use and wear such as light scuffing, but no major flaws. I do not know the calibur of the movement because it is a sealed unit. I think the only way in is through the crystal, and THAT is NOT my forte. The outside back of the case is marked with Swiss Assay marks, 18K over 750, the Helvetia mark, and hammer head 132, which indicates that the case was made by Eric Monnier, from La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland. Monnier registered on July 21, 1934 and was delisted on October 3, 1992. He also made cases for Rolex and Breitling. Based on the style of the watch, I estimate it was made sometime between 1960 and 1980. Winning bidder will receive the actual item pictured.
