The kit contains: vintage looking letters, news clippings, photographs, Grimoire pages, special envelopes and tarot cards. These items are used to tell the story of an ill-fated archaeological expedition and the terrible fate of the unfortunate people involved therein. As the story unfolds you invite your guests to participate in the Oracle Ritual described in the letter and pamphlet. The ritual will cast five participants into an ocean of ancient terror from which one of them may never return. As the mysterious package and its contents are explored an enigmatic story unfolds. Five participants will select an envelope, each containing an oracle card securely sealed within. This concealed card will symbolize their ultimate fate as the ritual concludes. They inscribe their names on slips of paper, crafting protective effigies of themselves, essential for the impending ceremony. Using a formula from a 17th-century Grimoire, the mage takes a goblet of water, anointing it with ceremonial powder to create a metaphysical gateway between our world and the ominous dimension of the sleeping gods. Each guest places their effigy into the goblet`s swirling waters as an offering. If the stars are right, the sleeping god may awaken. At the end of the ritual, the water is poured from the goblet, and the effigies are returned to the participants. However, one guest's effigy is missing. The remaining four guests hold their effigies with anticipation, opening their envelopes to reveal their fates. Each card they hold bears the mark of the elder star; a symbol that offers protection against the malevolent forces summoned during the ritual. The guest whose effigy vanished in the water now opens their envelope, revealing a card bearing the horrific image of the sleeping god—an indication that, on this night, the stars aligned and they have been chosen as the living conduit for the terrible power of the great sleeping god. Will they be haunted by nightmares that plague their sleep and be driven to madness or has the effigy provided sufficient protection to shield them from a fate far worse than death?
